You may not know this, but October is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month, and October 15th is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.1,2 So many families have experienced these heartbreaking losses. Today I’m chatting with one of my former doula clients, now turned friend, Megan McAlister, who is one of those families. Megan is a mother of four surviving children, ages 8, 6, 3, and 1. She is passionate about her experience with neonatal loss and her three subsequent VBACs (vaginal births after cesarean). Originally from Texas, her family now lives in Portland, Oregon.

I am so honored that Megan is on today’s episode of Chick Chat. She shares her story of infant loss and what families can do to heal after experiencing such a devastating loss. I hope that today’s episode gives hope and comfort to families who have experienced or are experiencing these tragic journeys of pregnancy and infant loss.
